Excluding a requirement

Description

Resolution

It is disconcerting that it is not possible to add a requirement on a page, delete it, then add it again. Therefore we'll mark the requirement as deleted if the user clicks "Remove" on the macro.

Original Question

Hi,

Supposing I'm editing a page and I created a requirement with a bad name. How can I exclude a requirement? I couldn't find any option to exclude requirements, the only way that I found is excluding the page where the requirement was created, thing that I definitely don't want to do.

Hi Armando,

Yes, the Requirement Yogi KB is updated with each release, so it should be up to date, except if anything was forgotten.

Concerning this issue, I'll make it so that the requirement is removed from the database as soon as people click "Remove" on the macro and close the issue, unless you have anything to add.

Best regards,
Adrien

Hi Adrien, that’s right, I’m sorry, I meant “deleting”.

I’ve got it, I need to edit de page and remove de macro Yogi itself, so the requirement will be deleted.

The Requirements Yogi documentation on Play SQL KB covers all the plugin’s functionalities, is that right?

Atenciosamente,
Armando Mancilla

In your situation, you can see the requirement in the search because it still exists on the page. If you remove the macro from the page, it should be deleted and it should disappear from the search too. Does that happen?

In your text, I've assumed "excluding" = "deleting", is it correct?

Hi Adrien,

Let me see if I understood well. The easily way to delete a requirement, is on the editing page – where the requirements is set – select de requirement and click on the button “delete” (Eliminar on Portuguese), so the requirement will be no longer available, is that correct?

About the solution you pointed out, I don’t know what I’m doing wrong. I’m sending you two screenshots. The first one shows the content after I click on the “Requirements” link on the left sidebar. The second one shows what I see when I click on the requirement named “NL-F-001”. Notice there is no “delete” button apparently. Am I doing the right thing here?

Thanks,

Hi Armando,

I assume you've remove the macro from the page, but the requirement still exists, is it correct?

You can search for this requirement (in the left sidebar, link "Requirements" -> You can search for requirements), and there should be a button "Delete" in the right handside column. If not, can you send me a screenshot of this row?

Thank you,
Adrien
